The latest book in the Tempe Brennan series by Kathy Reichs is just as good, if not better than the previous ones.
Tempe must work to identify a skull found in a basement. Did this person die for nefarious purposes? The indications surrounding where the skull was found would indicate that.
Then, another body is discovered. Headless, wrapped in plastic and abandoned on a beach.
Tempe must unravel these deaths, and find out if they are connected. Hindered by a zealot turned politician and the media it is a race against time to understand what happened to these people.
I loved this book, and the previous ones. While Kathy Reichs proves she is a leading force in her field, she explains the scientific issues in the book in depth, this can be a turn off as i find that the book can drag a little, but perhaps that is just me.
Well worth the read, intriguing, interesting and informative.

I love the word "nefarious"!! Headless body...hmmm...may be too much creep factor for my tastes, but I do love a suspenseful page turner :-)
