The Time Travellers Wife - Audrey Niffenegger.

I loved this book. Absolutely adored it. Its being turned into a movie, something i really hate but would be interested in how they make this work.

Henry is just an ordinary bloke who time travels. He has Chrono Displacement, which means his genes cause him to time travel. Clare is an ordinary girl in love with Henry. He's been around for years for her, since about age six.

The book covers periods in their lives from when Henry first discovers he can time travel at age 8 to Clare at age 81. Henry can take nothing with him when he goes and frequently must steal or mug someone for clothes, money and food is shown to be directly opposite in character to the one he shows to Clare.

The many twists and turns in this book make for very interesting reading, I literally could not put it down. I was sucked in by page one. The ins and outs of this relationship, how they both must deal with Henry's Chrono Displacement and the effect this may have on any children they have.

Warning, it does get a little confusing, especially when there is more than one Henry in the scene and is also so very heartbreaking yet sublime.

9 out of ten.

Oh I have been lax!
